Jessie Mae has been exploring the ebb and flow of mid-coast Maine her entire life. Whether playing at the beach, taking a dip in the swimming hole, or fly-fishing one of the many beautiful streams, rivers or the coastal coves; she has a close connection with the natural environment. Jessie Mae holds a BS from UMaine in Natural Resources, specializing in Marine Studies. Since then she has been in service to communities of Maine: training volunteers, educating people to improve lake and stream water quality and as administrator for grants directed at watershed management.
“My service to Maine has been very rewarding. I have had the unique opportunity to spend a great deal of time with dedicated volunteers and to explore hundreds of our lakes, streams and rivers. Maine is really the best place to be an integral part of the community, enjoy the outdoors, and raise a family. I am excited to now be able to bring sellers of Maine property together with buyers and to help buyers find the perfect place to call HOME.”
Jessie Mae and her husband Ed are constructing a Ward Cedar Log Home and raising their 3 year old son Liam. She is learning as much as possible about alternative energy and green homes: using solar for energy and heating, utilizing local materials and selecting natural finishes for example. Jessie Mae also enjoys gardening, contra-dancing, music festivals, learning sign language, and spending time with her family and community.
"I am so very fortunate to live in Maine. With so many spectacular places here to explore I rarely vacation anywhere else. Some of my favorites are: rocky points and coves of mid-coast, unique island communities, the carriage trails of Acadia National Park, nostalgic lighthouses, endless cool-crystal-clear lakes, the major rivers for rafting and fly-fishing, the Applacian Trail, the Great North Woods, the fine beaches of southern Maine, and real working downtowns - my favorite places to shop for local and unique! May I help you find your home base from which to explore the many wonders of this great state?"
